About Me

Picture
I was called as Senior Pastor to the First Church in Sterling in May of 2014. Born and raised Unitarian Universalist in Concord, NH, I was ordained on October 27, 2013 at First Parish in Brookline, MA, and I hold dual standing in the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. I am a 2013 graduate of Boston University School of Theology (Masters of Divinity), and I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling/Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I have served congregations in Boston, Milton, Brookline and Sherborn as religious educator, youth minister, and intern minister. I served the Unitarian Universalist Association as MFC Assistant and District Youth Coordinator of the Mass Bay District. I am passionate about multigenerational ministry, prayer, youth ministry, community-building, preaching, and worship co-creation. I believe that religion’s purpose is to grow souls, and repair the world, and therefore I am a passionate follower of Jesus.

At First Church, I supervise the staff, collaborate with leaders to fulfill the mission and vision of the church through excellent programming and outreach, provide pastoral care and counseling to the First Church Community, and preach and teach the Gospel, which I firmly believe has everything to do with Love

Our Family

I currently live in the parsonage in Sterling, MA with my husband, Andy Linscott, who is a PhD student in the Department of Religion at Boston University and an Academic Advisor at Fitchburg State University. We also share our home with our three children, Cecilia Barraza, Eloisa Barraza, and Isaac Bartlett Linscott.
